THE
CONSTITUTIONAL COUNCIL
Art.
63 –
The Constitutional Council shall be composed of the First President of the
Supreme Court, the Presidents of the Civil and Administrative Chambers of the
Supreme Court, three deputies designated by the national Assembly, and a member
designated by the President of the Republic.
The members of the Constitutional Council shall elect their president who shall
not have a casting vote.

64 -
the Constitutional Council shall determine the constitutionality of laws and
legislative edicts submitted by the President of the Republic or the Speaker of
the national Assembly.
