The National Liberation Front has proposed,
The National Constituent Assembly has debated and adopted,
The people have approved,
The Head of Government, President of the Council of Ministers promulgates the following Constitution:

    Preamble
    Fundamental principles and objectives
    Fundamental rights
    The national liberation front
    Exercise of sovereignty -National Assembly
    The executive
    The judiciary
    The constitutional council
    The high councils
    Constitutional revision
    Transitional provisions

This Constitution,
proposed by the National Liberation Front,
debated and adopted by the national Constituent Assembly, approved by the people,
shall be enforced as supreme law of the State.

Done at Algiers
on this twenty-first day of Rabie II thirteen hundred and eighty-three (Muhammadan calendar)
corresponding to the tenth day of September nineteen hundred and sixty-three.
